Applying to study in Romania

You must be at least 18 years old to apply to study in Romania. The following paperwork is required when applying to Romanian universities:

  • Application form

  • For undergraduate applicants: certified copy of the Baccalaureate Diploma or equivalent

  • For postgraduate applicants: certified copy of graduation certificate

  • certified copy of the birth certificate

  • A medical certificate specifying that the candidate does not have any contagious diseases and explaining the applicant's health status

  • Certified copy of passport

  • A statement specifying that the applicant’s high-school diploma (Baccalaureate Diploma) enables him/her to apply for bachelor's degree studies

  • IELTS/PTE Result

  • Two recent photos

Admission Criteria For Bachelor

  • IELTS: 5.5, no Less than 5

  • PTE:- 46 No less than 42

  • 3- to 4-year gap is acceptable

  • And 55% Above Marks

  • Degree and Marks Sheet (Attested By Relevant Board, IBCC MOFA)

Admission Criteria For Master

  • IELTS: 5.5, no less than 6

  • PTE: 55 No less than 50

  • 4 to 5-year Gap Acceptable

  • And 60% Above Marks

  • Degree And Transcript (Attested By HEC And MOFA)

    English Proficiency Certificate is acceptable in most universities

    Other Documents Attestation Required

  • Police Character Certificate attested by MOFA

  • Birthday Certificate attested from MOFA

  • FRC attested from MOFA

    Process Time

    The total time for this process will be around 3–5 months.

    There are two intakes in Romania:

    spring (Feb/March) and winter (August / September).

    The study gap should be less than 3 years.

    Study VISA Cost

    University Tuition Fee: 2500 to 3500 Euros per year (varies from university to university and from program to program), approximately 13 lakh per year.

    The application fee for the university is 50–200 euros (non-refundable). Around 55k pk

    Health Insurance: 30,000 pk

    Documents Attestation from IBCC/HEC/MOFA: 30,000 pkr

    Total Budget

    Around 15-20 Lakh Pkr (depending on the Euro rate in Pakistan)

    Bank Statement

    Need Personal or sponsored Bank Statement of at least 3 months old (min. 8000 Euros or 25 lakhs)

Documents you need to apply for a student visa:

  1. Letter of acceptance from the Romanian Ministry of Education

  2. Proof of tuition fee payment for one year

  3. Proof of sufficient means of support for the entire period specified in the visa (approximately €2,500/US$3,153)

  4. A criminal record certificate or another document of the same legal value

  5. Medical insurance for the entire period of the visa's validity

  6. Approval of parents or foster parents in connection with the stay on Romanian territory for study purposes, if the student is a minor.
